Aims and Scope

The Journal of the Earthquake Engineering Society of Korea (JEESK) is a journal of peer-reviewed papers on the latest advances in analysis, experiment and practice dedicated to earthquakes in the fields of seismology and earthquake engineering. JEESK is the official journal of the Earthquake Engineering Society of Korea (EESK), founded in 1997. This journal aims to present research and developments on all aspects of the latest technologies related to earthquake engineering. The journal will provide a robust repository of scientific, technical, and practical information for the research and professional community encompassing all disciplines of the earthquake engineering and seismology fields. The journal publishes six issues per year and follows an open access policy.
Papers considered for publication are original and high-quality works on analytical, experimental, design, and field studies that form:
- a valuable contribution to the theory or practice of earthquake engineering;
- a state-of-the-art work on a topic related to earthquakes;
- a case study on a significant earthquake-related problem.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of topics considered to be within the scope of the journal: tectonics and seismology, strong-motion studies, soil dynamics and foundations, site effects and geotechnical aspects, soil-structure interaction, design of earthquake-resistant structures and foundations, earthquake demand and structural capacity, experimental and computational methods, seismic regulations and codes, passive and active control systems for seismic protection, seismic hazard assessment, earthquake disaster mitigation and emergency planning, repair and strengthening, seismic safety of industrial and nuclear facilities, case studies, field investigations, and research and development results.

Readership

The Journal of the Earthquake Engineering Society of Korea (JEESK) is an open access journal published at the ISSN (1226-525X) and DOI. It is indexed in CrossRef metadata, Korea Citation Index, and Google Scholar, and is also easily available to international researchers. Each article provides excellent research and field applications related to earthquake engineering resources, especially including structural and material engineering.

Uniqueness of Name

The official journal title is the Journal of the Earthquake Engineering Society of Korea, which is abbreviated as J. Earthq. Eng. Soc. Korea (JEESK). This journal title is unique in relevant resources.
